22/XII 1915.

Dear friend Roman V. Malinovsky, I received your letter1 and passed on to the local committee your request to send some things. I received a message from them - through an acquaintance of a comrade - that everything has been sent to you. Can you tell me if you have received it?

We were very glad to learn that you have a library there and an opportunity to study and give lectures. If possible, it would be a good idea to try, if it is allowed, to organize a questionnaire among the prisoners about their political views and sympathies in connection with their social status. You probably have a great deal of interesting material and observations.

I hope that you are healthy and remain cheerful. Please write about yourself and bow to your friends, who are probably with you in the new environment.

Nadezhda Konstantinovna bows very much.

Your V. Ulyanov.
