Dear friend! I was very glad to hear from you. Why is it you are ailing too often? Who gave you permission for that? And how will your serious musical science progress, if you behave so badly?

I hope you have recovered thoroughly – soon a passion for travel will seize you – we shall meet somewhere and manage to listen to your singing.

Regarding the TSO[^1], it is a great pity that your Florentine experience did not find application, obviously, owing to the illness of the *impresario* of this enterprise. This, of course, is a fixable matter.

And still, a concert you will someday arrange for the benefit of the revolution as well – surely, is that not so? **

Best greetings! Your V. U.

Bogrova – in 1905, member of the Petrograd Soviet of Workers’ Deputies; for participation in the revolutionary movement she was persecuted by the tsarist government. In 1905, Bogrova emigrated abroad; there she studied at a medical faculty; graduated from a conservatory in the class of singing in Florence (Italy).
