Once the war has begun, the proletariat must direct more
forces to the attackers.
HI
Vaillant's mistake is not a mistake of principle!!
Locking the door is the politics of national exclusiveness...
The Lugano resolution should say who the violators of peace are!!
He repeats commonplaces, — and not a concrete answer!!
(not a soc.-dem. position)

Swiss socialists are increasingly inclined to syndicalism.
Voices:
The main source of the crisis — the right to national exis-
tence; to renounce it: it's all the same to him...
That's syndicalism, if it's all the same to the proletariat....
"Practical slogans" are needed, but in... Lugano they weren't given
((closing the shutters — that's not international solidarity))
It is impossible to make out who the instigator is...

Our Russian affairs?
With pride, that in the State Duma they alone are faithful: they did not vote for war credits. 31
A Tsarist-Monarchical army cannot be victorious.
it was necessary to point out we don't give credits to thieves etc. etc.]
When did they leave?
Unclear.
((it would be necessary to leave more clearly))

* NOTE OF G. V. PLEKHANOV'S CONCLUDING REMARKS
Plekhanov:
I am forced to leave Lausanne, not satisfied with comrade Le-
nin.
Comrade Hervé expressed these thoughts much earlier (ergriin-
den **— there is no time)..33
— Hervé in the 1st manner...34
And one should refer not to Hervé, but to Marx
Incorrect reference to the fact that workers have no fatherland.
I will not decree (as Lenin did), but I will explain:
| Makh's note to Yekka 33
"Every nation has the right to existence"... Makh
This he preached.
Standing on this point of view, one must admit that every
nation has the right (and the duty) to defend itself.
If a progressive party refuses to defend the people, it will lo-
se all influence on its people and become a utopia.
One must distinguish between the bourgeois] and proletarian point of view:
defend "truth and justice" in international relations.
It is a mistake to say that workers have no fatherland. That
means abandoning the point of view of international socialism,
you will be national. You will be utopian and will not be able
to participate] in the political] life of your nation.
Once the war has begun, we must be able to figure out to whom***
