On the basis of the objective data set forth above and the experience of 2½ years of open and direct separate existence,—
we,
the Central Committee,
are convinced that the Liquidator group is an intellectualist group which does not submit to discipline and organisation and has proved its inability to create a party and to work in a party way, to rally the workers into a party.
We know that all the other groups, currents, factions, etc., do not share our opinion. All we can do in such a situation is to propose that they refute us, show us our mistake in practice.
Let those from all the groups who have defended compromise (or even unity) with the Liquidators in print (Trotsky, the Bund, Plekhanov) publish over the course of half a year their assessment of all party questions.
The workers of Russia will then see whether we are mistaken in denying the possibility of working with the Liquidators.
