P. P. S.

Only just now did it occur to me, rereading Kuznetsov's telegram, that the matter evidently concerns not a report, but a rally in commemoration of January 9th! It is absolutely impossible to announce Malinovsky at such a rally (for I wrote about absolute legality and ask you again and again most strictly to observe it: there must be no mention whatsoever of party, or group, or revolution, or social-democracy). As for myself, you may put me down as one of the speakers for January 9th, if that is useful for your success (financial), but with the right to back out (I declare privately that even if I am in Paris, I will not go to the January 9th rally with all sorts of beasts like the S.R.s, Lederers & Co.) 280.
