I have just read no. 8 and cannot refrain from expressing my astonishment at your publication of such an article as "A Conference of Marxists" 251 and so forth!!

In my opinion, this was the height of folly, and if the author "got carried away" for understandable reasons, then you—in your position—cannot fail to see the impossibility of this article. For God's sake, do not permit such carelessness: you are devilishly helping all our enemies in this.

It is necessary to reprint from no. 8 (gradually) articles by Petrovsky and the former conciliationist 252.
