**"Exhibits on Labor Protection at the All-Russian Hygienic Exhibition in St. Petersburg in 1913." St. Petersburg. 1913.**

78 pages. Price not indicated.

This extraordinarily useful publication provides a concise summary of the material presented on questions of labor protection at the All-Russian Hygienic Exhibition. On a whole series of questions concerning workers' lives, the publication furnishes a wealth of valuable statistical data—the number of workers in certain branches of industry, women's and child labor, the working day and wages, sanitary conditions and labor protection, morbidity and mortality among workers, alcoholism, workers' insurance, and so forth, and so forth.

The book is appended with an excellent bibliography on questions of labor protection.

The deficiency of the book lies in the absence, in many cases, of absolute figures (only relative figures are given) and of a general subject index, which would make it possible to quickly locate the corresponding data on individual questions.

It would be desirable that in subsequent editions these deficiencies be corrected. All those interested in the workers' question, all trade unions, insurance societies, and other workers' organizations will, undoubtedly, make use of this book. In subsequent editions it could and should be transformed into a systematic compendium of materials on questions concerning the situation and protection of labor in Russia.
