LETTER TO G. L. SHKLOVSKY
22/XI 1913
Dear G. L.! Today I read in *Vorwarts* Rosa Luxemburg's stupid
outburst against us in the ISB (with a proposal to put the question
of the unification of the RSDLP on the agenda). Rosa’s stupid "move," to which we shall reply.
But the point is that Rosa = Zetkin. So, there is a clear plan to
"surrender" the arbitration case in the ISB "together with the question
of unification" or something of that sort.
We must hurry with all our might. I implore you to drop me
2 lines and, w i t h o u t l o s i n g a m i n u t e , get Zgraggen
to write letters to Duc (if Zgraggen agrees to write, agreeing,
of course, with you on the text of the letters, then send me a telegram
"Zgraggen (or lawyer) is not writing")...
Now Zgraggen + Duc m a y win if the Bureau rejects the case. This will be a complete victory, because then
the road to the court is open. Explain this!!

Let Zgraggen and Duc write to Huysmans 2 (and to the Belgian
socialist lawyer, if there is one) privately, asking for information about
the receipt of the case (is it being received? is it possible according to the charter?
etc.) and expressing a desire t o p r e s e n t documents and
explanations.
(Talk to Moor separately: could he write down w h a t he will s a y in the ISB? Will he agree t o r e a d i t ?)
M. b. Ducos will come up with something else? Paris is close to Brussels, and here it is easy to influence, find out, inform in advance— then the victory is certain!
Write! Yours, Lenin
