V. I. LENIN — TO V. II. KASPAROV
11 BERLIN.**
[August 25, 1913. On the Vices of the Party]
Dear Comrade! Please, as soon as possible, send me all issues of As.V. Severnaya Pravda, with the exception of Dg 1 and Novaya Rabochaya Gazeta.
I have not seen them yet!!!
Please ask Abel to send me daily bundles of newspapers from Petrograd—though they must be carefully wrapped in a couple of bourgeois papers, so that the contents remain concealed and protected from prying eyes. Until Abel’s reply arrives, kindly continue to send me, upon receipt, both Novaya Rabochaya Gazeta and Severnaya Pravda, as well as Nash Put’ from Moscow.1
Yours, Lenin

LETTERS FROM THE SECOND PERIOD OF EMIGRATION

P.S. A small oversight: You failed to provide Shklovsky with your address for correspondence—neither for Shklovsky to write to you nor for him to request information from you.
1 “Novaya Rabochaya Gazeta” was a legal newspaper published by the liquidators, appearing in Petrograd from August 8 (21), 1913, until January 23, 1914 (see Works of Lenin, vol. XVII, p. 690, note 10).
“Severnaya Pravda” was published from August 1 (14) to September 7 (20), 1913 (see Works of Lenin, vol. XVI, note 179, p. 749).
“As Nash Put’” was a Bolshevik newspaper based in Moscow, issued from August 25 (7 September) to September 12 (25), 1913. Only sixteen issues were published in total (see Works of Lenin, vol. XVII, note 3, p. 686).
