Dear Comrade, I was very glad to get your letter of 21/I. These days there is no end
of disarray and organisational chaos. All the more pleasant is it to get in
touch with a comrade-in-idea. Please don’t give up your intention of
sending in an article in February, and in general, be sure to write from
time to time. I hope you see from our newspapers and journals the general
line we now have to take—against the enemy and (probably still more)
against those who are vacillating. Your contributions, seeing that we share
the same views, are doubly valuable in that you are close to the
capitals. Please try to obtain the local manuals of

Zemstvo and factory statistics and similar publications. We are extremely
badly off for these.
