The London "Economist" on August 26, 1911, considers British capital in 10 South American republics (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Paraguay) = 622 million pounds, including Argentina — 316, Brazil — 162, Uruguay — 42*, Chile — 41*) — (ibidem p. 57/).
