(1) Be sure to send me the books on the electoral law as quickly as possible, 3. VI. 07. Or another copy of the 1910 reference guide.71 Moreover, send the electoral law with a jurist's commentary. Check with "your people" and send it quickly. Without this, the "Voter's Handbook"72 is impossible. (2) I am again receiving "Zvezda" irregularly. Follow up at the office.

Give my (old) address. It's impossible to send things so carelessly. (3) The article "Foundations of the Platform" should not be passed through the collegium; publish it under signature and with a subheading (attempt at commentary); the collegium should not "approve" any platform: bear in mind that here one clumsy step and you'll be in for a scandal. Let the collegium refrain and keep silent. The approval of the platform is a matter for an entirely different authority. (4) Send newspapers, journals, books. Without this it's a disaster. (5) Write precisely when the daily newspaper will appear, what format, etc.73 (6) Wage a more vigorous struggle with "Zhivoe Delo"—then victory is assured. Otherwise it's a disaster. Don't be afraid of polemics. Absolutely 2-3 polemical articles per week.
