LETTER FROM G.E. ZINOVIEV AND V.I. LENIN TO V.L. LEDER

October 6 (19), 1911

To V.L. Leder, Member of the Editorial Board of the Central Organ1

Comrade Kamensky, a member of the Technical Commission2, informed us that the Technical Commission, by a majority vote, adopted two clearly illegal decisions:

1) To delay the typesetting of the Central Organ until the publication of some "Bulletin"3, the publication of which was not provided for either by the plenum or even by the meeting of the central committee members.

2) To usurp the rights of the editorial board of the Central Organ and the secretary chosen by it, and to send manuscripts of the Central Organ to the printing house only through Leva.

In view of these illegal decisions, we propose to adopt the following resolutions on behalf of the editorial board of the Central Organ:

"The editorial board of the Central Organ resolves:

a) to immediately send the issue of the Central Organ4 to a private printing house for typesetting; b) not to send any manuscripts of the Central Organ to Leva; c) to take all measures to expose the illegal actions of the majority of the Technical Commission1*."

I request you to inform me immediately how you vote on this matter.

On behalf of myself and Comrade Lenin, Grigory
