Mother dearest, I am writing from Lucerne. I came to Switzerland quite
unexpectedly (on account of the meeting of the International
Socialist Bureau in
Zürich). [1] I am travelling round lecturing. [2] Yesterday I went out climbing on the Pilatus—
nearly 7,000 feet. The weather is wonderful so far and I
am having an excellent holiday. I embrace you fondly and send very best regards to everyone.

Yours,

V. U.

Luxemburg against the opportunists among the German
Social-Democrats.

[2]
Lenin delivered a lecture on “Stolypin and the Revolution” in
a number of Swiss towns—in Zürich on September 26, in Berne
on September 28 and in Geneva on October 2.
