NOTE TO AN UNKNOWN ADDRESSEE **1.
[July 17, 1911, Longjumeau, near Paris.]
Dear Comrade! I am sending you the documents I received today (July 17, 1911). Please return them after reading.
Greetings! N. Lenin.
1 Lenin most likely sent the materials mentioned in the note to the editorial office of “Social-Democrat” either to G. Zinoviev or to whoever was then serving as the editor’s secretary.
* The remarks were written in pencil on the inner side of the back cover of some French book or pamphlet. On the reverse (outer) side of this sheet, Lenin penned the following address in pencil: “Dr. I. V. Marchlewski. Forststraße, 15. Sieglitz bei Berlin.” Ed.
** The note was written above the heading of a circular letter from the International Socialist Bureau dated July 14, 1911 (see above, p. 262). Ed.
