I received 50 francs (fifty francs) from comrade Alexander Shapovalov in favor of the Russian Social-Democratic newspaper "Rabochaya Gazeta".

1The exact date of the receipt could not be established. The document dates from the time of the first issue of the newspaper and Lenin's departure from Paris to Krakow. A.S.Shapovalov lived in Paris all this time and saw Lenin many times.

The document is stamped: "Russian Social Democratic Labor Party. Working newspaper. Expedition." This shows that Shapovalov handed over the money in the editorial office building at the address - Avenue d Orleans, 110. Paris XIV.
