I cannot write in German, and I am writing in Russian. Can you arrange for a translation in Leipzig—or is it inconvenient or difficult for you, and will I have to find a translator here (which, of course, I can probably also manage)—or, finally, I will write in my very poor German (a sample of which is contained in this letter), and then in Leipzig they can translate from poor German into good German. (Once a friend told me that it is easier to translate into German from good Russian than from poor German.)

With best wishes, Your N. Lenin
