I have a request for you. Send me a letter to the editorial board of “Proletary” signed with Mark or another of your pseudonyms. The content approximately like this: “regarding the printed statement by Comrade Domov with accusations against the editorial board of ‘Proletary’ of splitting, of not producing popular pamphlets, of betraying Bolshevism, of drawing closer to Plekhanov, of ‘Duma-ism’, and so on and so forth, I consider it useful to acquaint the comrades in the party with Comrade Domov’s present views. In the presence of Comrades Maximov, Lyadov and myself, he declared: ‘there are now two harmful prejudices: first, that we have a party, second, that a revolution is coming in Russia.’ I have already made this public at a lecture before the Paris Bolsheviks, in the presence of Comrade Maximov, who could not dispute the correctness of the fact. So let the comrades know who is now marching against ‘Proletary’” 206.

Really, we must expose this little company! We shall print your letter and answer them properly.

I shake your hand. Yours, Lenin
