The International Congress sends to William Haywood, on behalf of the socialist movement of the entire world, wishes for success in that great struggle which he has waged in the interests of the organized workers of the United States. The Congress energetically stigmatizes the attempt of the mine owners to achieve the condemnation of an innocent man solely for his services to the organized proletariat. Both in the judicial trial and in the systematic slanderous campaign undertaken against Haywood by the entire capitalist press, the Congress sees the expression of the class policy of the American bourgeoisie becoming ever more manifest, and the complete absence in it of tolerance and sense of honor in all cases threatening its profits and power. At the same time, the Congress greets the socialists of the United States, who have resisted this attack with such energy and enthusiasm.

Imbued with class consciousness, the proletariat of Europe, in the great might displayed by this act of solidarity, sees a pledge of future successes and hopes that the American proletariat will display the same decisiveness and solidarity in the struggle for its complete emancipation.
