OF THE ARTICLE BY L. BOROVSKY "FIRST STEPS OF THE PROFESSIONAL MOVEMENT".1
August, before 9, 1905. Geneva.
It would be more correct, in our view, to consider professional
unions not as party organizations, but as organizations adjoining the party.
1 V. Vorovsky's article "First Steps of the Professional Movement" was published in No. 11 of "Proletary" dated August 9 (July 27), 1905.
In the article, Vorovsky dwells in detail on the "charter of the party trade union" developed by the Saratov Committee of the RSDLP.
"The identification of a trade union with a party organization," says Vorovsky, "thereby limits the composition of the union to conscious social democrats only. This... is a mistake that in practice will inevitably lead either to a consumption of the trade union movement, or to the diffuseness of party organizations."

has in fact admitted defeat.
Russia for the first time loses parts of its territory. The shameful end of a shameful
war will leave its mark for many years.
But European and American capital have united to prevent Japan from
finishing off the autocracy, for a quick collapse
