This refers to the resolutions of the "Unity" Congress of the RSDLP foreign organisations, which took place in September 1901. The congress was attended by 6 members of the foreign organisation of *Iskra* and *Zarya* (V. I. Lenin, N. K. Krupskaya, L. Martov and others), 8 members of the *Sotsial-Demokrat* organisation (including 3 members of the Emancipation of Labour group: G. V. Plekhanov, P. B. Axelrod, V. I. Zasulich), 16 members of the *Union of Russian Social-Democrats* (including 5 members of the Foreign Committee of the Bund) and 3 members of the *Borba* group. V. I. Lenin, who was present under the pseudonym "Frey", delivered a sharp speech exposing the opportunist actions of the *Union*. After the opportunist amendments and additions of the *Union of Russian Social-Democrats* to the resolution condemning opportunism and recognising the need to unite all Social-Democratic forces of Russia on the basis of the revolutionary principles of *Iskra* were announced at the congress, the revolutionary part of the congress (members of the organisations of *Iskra* and *Zarya*, *Sotsial-Demokrat*) announced a statement on the impossibility of unification and left the congress. On the initiative of V. I. Lenin, these organisations united in October 1901 into the *Foreign League of Russian Revolutionary Social-Democracy*.

This refers to the grouping of votes at the Second Congress of the RSDLP, which took place from 17 (30) July to 10 (23) August 1903. At the congress there were a total of 43 delegates, holding 51 votes. Of these: 24 votes – Iskra-ists of the majority, 9 – Iskra-ists of the minority, 10 – the "swamp" and 8 – anti-Iskra-ists (3 Rabocheye Dyelo supporters and 5 Bundists). For a more detailed coverage of the general picture of the struggle at the congress, see V. I. Lenin, Works, 5th ed., Vol. 8, pp. 321–335.

On 10 (23) August 1903 the Second Congress of the RSDLP ended. On 15 (28) August issue No. 46 of the newspaper *Iskra* was published, in the editing of which V. I. Lenin and G. V. Plekhanov took part. It has not been possible to establish which specific fact V. I. Lenin had in mind when indicating the date 13 (26) August. On 13 (26) November Plekhanov co-opted the Mensheviks Axelrod, Martov, Zasulich and Potresov onto the editorial board of *Iskra*.

V. I. Lenin has in mind Martov's words at the Second Congress of the *Foreign League of Russian Revolutionary Social-Democracy*, which took place from 13 (26) to 18 (31) October 1903, to the effect that he, Martov, would not agree to work on the same editorial board as Martynov.

On 25–26 September (8–9 October) 1903, in their letter to V. I. Lenin and G. V. Plekhanov, the former editors of *Iskra* replied with a refusal to the offer to collaborate on *Iskra* (see V. I. Lenin, Works, 5th ed., Vol. 8, pp. 341–342). Apparently, V. I. Lenin has this letter in mind.

This refers to: the conference of the 22 Bolsheviks and the declaration of the 19 Bolsheviks. The conference took place in the first half of August 1904 (see note No. 21).

The Declaration of the 19 was published by the Moscow Committee of the RSDLP in October 1904 under the title "Appeal to Members of the RSDLP" (see Collection of Documents and Materials "The Third Congress of the RSDLP". Moscow, 1955, pp. 99–106).

The indicated dates denote the period from the conference of the 22 Bolsheviks (first half of August 1904) to the Third Congress of the RSDLP, which took place from 12 (25) April to 27 April (10 May) 1905. – 397.
