...of everyone, which I advise you to circulate, hammer in, push through.

Agent Myamlin for two [Central Committee members]. Again: who will decide? The Committees and their delegates at the IV Congress.

Prepare one, another committee: there is a grateful and businesslike task for you. Let us suppose the Myamlins win. The Committees have the right to open their own organ, even one committee!! That is why you are mistaken, falling back on the old, pre-Party point of view, when you write:

"they print Trotsky's leaflets" (there is nothing bad about it if the leaflets are decent and corrected. I will also advise the St. Petersburg Committee to print his leaflets, edited by you, let us say), or when you write: "a fall from grace à la Boris is near." I do not understand. Let us suppose there are Borises. There is always plenty of that sort of thing. Let us suppose the Borises and Myamlins turn out to be in the majority (of the Committees, do not forget that, of the Committees). Then "the mass of previous work perished," you conclude. Why? How did or will "Proletarian" perish?? Even the absurdity of "two Central Organs" will not destroy "Proletarian," but will only introduce absurdity into the statute. But life will preserve "Proletarian" and sweep away the absurdity. And the Myamlins will not dare to close "Proletarian." And finally, let us take the worst outcome, in the spirit of your pessimism: let us suppose closure. And I then ask: what then is the Petersburg Committee for? Or is "Proletarian" as an organ of the Petersburg Committee going to be weaker than as one of the "two" Central Organs?? Take now, at once, energetic measures to ensure that the Petersburg Committee is not in formal, but in businesslike, close, constant relations with "Proletarian," and — you will strengthen your position and the influence of your ideas so that hundreds of Myamlins will not be frightening. The Petersburg Committee — that is a force three times greater than all the "agents" together. Make "Proletarian" the organ of the PC, and the PC the conductor of the ideas and tactics of "Proletarian" to the fullest extent, that is real struggle against Myamlinism, not struggle with complaints and moaning. In Petersburg one can find hundreds of addresses, in Petersburg one can find countless opportunities, set up the correspondence section, revive relations, order leaflets, republish articles from "Proletarian" in leaflets, retell them in leaflets, rework them in leaflets and so on and so forth. In leaflets one can and should speak also about all-Party questions (the other day the Kostroma Committee sent us a resolution against the appointment of Plekhanov to the International Bureau: just a tirade, and that's all!). Myamlinism must be fought by exemplary organization of Committee agitation, by fighting leaflets to the Party, not by sour complaints to the Central Committee!

What article of mine from No. 5 (??) of "Zarya" (about Prokopovich) are you writing about? I am puzzled.

What is your dissatisfaction with Ruben? Connect me without fail both with him and with Lalayants directly.

Shaking your hand firmly. Write more often and do not be downhearted! And spit on the Myamlins!
