April–May 1905. Geneva.

I hasten to remind you of one matter that must be translated and published as soon as possible, and which I forgot to mention in our conversation (although I have had this matter in mind for a very long time!). This is — *Die Reichsverfassungs Kampagne* by Friedrich Engels from the collection of Marx and Engels's writings published by Mehring (*Marx' Nachlass* and so forth, Vol. III). This is a separate, independent work that absolutely must appear as a pamphlet. Its relevance at the present moment is particularly great.¹

¹ Lenin discusses Engels's article "The Campaign for an Imperial Constitution" in detail in his report "On the Provisional Revolutionary Government" at the Third Congress on May 1, 1905 (*Works*, Vol. VII, p. 271).
