Lyadov gave a somewhat inaccurate account of the matter concerning the organ in Russia, and I ask your forgiveness if I got heated and offended you.

Regarding the bureau's open appearance, I will not dispute further. Two weeks is of course trifling. Believe me, I intend to take account of Russia's opinion completely and in everything unconditionally, and I ask you seriously: for Christ's sake, inform me more frequently of this opinion. If I am guilty of yielding to the mood of the émigré Bolsheviks, then I am guilty without guilt, since Russia writes devilishly little and seldom. I submit completely to the choice of the Northern Conference and, by God, willingly at that.[^6] Try to obtain money and write that you are not angry.
