In my opinion, the article requires an even more thorough reworking. The theme is not sustained and the main idea gets lost. It's one of two things: either the theme is the nonsense of Axelrod and the new Iskra-ists—then the title and structure should be different. Or it's "something about leaflets," ((local publishing)) and such a title would define the center of gravity of the article. The task of the day introduces a false note into the exposition of the theme.

p. 3 — line 3 from the top — quote Dan from the minutes of the meeting of 2.IX.2 Otherwise they'll think it's the author speaking!!
3 — "playing at statistics" — remove, otherwise they'll laugh. He himself is doing what he called playing.

p. \— regarding "headings" etc. — Schwartz is right.:{
p. \— i line from the bottom!) "erroneous view," in my opinion, delete.

h— 3. Absolutely radically rework. To acknowledge "infatuation with the struggle against economism" for us now in such a form means directly flogging ourselves. This will give a thousand trump cards to the opponent, without clarifying the issue at all. Instead of this (Schwartz is ultra-right) it is necessary to construct the argument thus:
— weak attention to everyday interests
— this has long been noted by Social Democrats who did not engage in vulgar fabrication of disagreements
— quotes from No. 43 and analysis of Trotsky!) and No. 17 chew over Iskra. This is all the old Iskra.
--------and from these examples deduce that the phrases about the Bolsheviks' deformation of professional struggle (quotes from Trotsky, Axelrod, Martov, Worker) are fabrication and slander (Martov in No. 77 about "circles of the majority").

p. 5 — about truncation also absolutely remove. This is extremely tactless at the present moment. Instead of this, from the previous references conclude that we, = the old Iskra) always stood for the fullness of the class content of the work.

p. 5 — 6 leave, in my opinion, but modify in the spirit of changing the entire course of the argument.

p. 8 — add from What Is to Be Done?, pp. 115—116 and especially § 6* If we are to speak about the relation of economic and political struggle, then our old relation must be chewed over, because this is a sore point that cannot now merely be touched upon.

p. 8 (at the end) develop in more detail about the emptiness of Iskra. Connect with the break with the committees. Outline: compare the new and old Iskra!

p. 9 — You interpret Axelrod incorrectly. He does not have that "only"!!
"other" "only" Bring the original and we'll argue!
One cannot give weapons to enemies by misinterpreting them!

p. 9 — elderberry and uncle — this is good, especially the finale.

p. 10 — "infatuations of little Iskra" remove. This is incorrect. These are not infatuations, but necessary repetitions of worker-phrases. One must prove this necessity.
