Dear Georgy Valentinovich! I have been feeling unwell again these past few days and therefore have not answered you. The article about Breshkovskaya has been received, but it was too late for this issue. It will go in the next one. 1)
Are you writing about mutual responsibility? 2) (I have instructed that the S.-Peterburgskie Vedomosti be sent to you.)
It would be good to have an article on this for the next issue. The visitor has left. 3) I don't know yet whether it will be possible to settle the matter. In any case, I managed to get him to agree to the mediation of the Organizational Committee].
I shake your hand firmly. Yours, Lenin.
P. S. You write nothing about my pamphlet. Please, submit it to the typesetter as soon as possible: it is very important that there is no delay. After all, it can be given in proof if someone else is interested, but not in manuscript 4).
1) Plekhanov's article: "Madame Breshkovskaya and the Chigirin Affair" was printed in No. 38 of "Iskra". (Plekhanov's Works, vol. XII, p. 351.)
2) "Abolition of Mutual Responsibility", an article by G. V. Plekhanov in D1 38 of "Iskra" (Plekhanov, Works, vol. XII, p. 342).
*) It is not clear who is being referred to. Judging by Plekhanov's letter to Lenin of April 2, 1903, it can be assumed that the reference is to * worka*, a member of the St. Petersburg organization, who came abroad to settle the St. Petersburg split.
4) V. I. Lenin's pamphlet "To the Village Poor". Published in May
1903 by the "Iskra" publishing house.
(Collected Works, vol. IX, pp. 317-374.)

Yu. O. Martov wrote
P. B. Axelrod: "Vladimir Ilyich
wrote in our opinion a very successful book "To the
Village
Poor" for popularization among the peasants of our program. It will probably
make an impression no less strong than "What Is to Be Done?"
("Letters by Yu. O. Martov and P. B. Axelrod" vol. I, p. 83.)
