The struggle for the Central Committee, for a swift (summer) new Congress — that is what remains for us.

Locate my notebook*. It was sent by Poletayev (Bauman) to Vecheslov only and personally. Shergow could have taken it only dishonestly, only by breach of confidence. Read it to everyone you wish, but do not give it into anyone's hands and return it to me.

You must oust Vecheslov from all positions. Take a letter for yourself from the Central Committee, declare yourself before the Parteivorstand** as the Central Committee's agent and seize all German connections entirely into your own hands.

I am very remiss with you regarding your brochure. I managed to read it only once. It requires reworking, for which I did not succeed in sketching out a plan.
