M. G.!

The editorial board of “Iskra” has received your correspondence concerning the gendarme colonel
Petrovsky. While its publication—in a condensed form—might, perhaps, be

* – mere partisan squabbling. Ed.

TO THE ODESSA COMMITTEE OF THE RSDLP. OCTOBER 1, 1903.

It would seem advisable—if the editorial board were acquainted with the surnames of Messrs. N., M., R., and others—or, at the very least, if the editorial board could ascertain the reasons why the disclosure of these surnames is deemed undesirable. Might we also learn with certainty the current place of service of Mr. Petrovsky, his full name and patronymic, as well as the precise date of his transfer from Bobruisk (?).

Awaiting your reply, I remain at your service,

On behalf of the editorial board, N. Lenin
