TO G. V. PLEKHANOV

15/III. 03.

Dear G. V.! Received your letter. Write "March Ides", it's excellent.
Deadline – 25. III. 03 the article must be here. We look forward to it necessarily.

Maslov will be sent to me in the next few days from Paris (I will hurry it up), and I will send it to you immediately. There are interesting data there on the harm of the commune, which I quoted in Paris.

I have already subscribed to David and am now reading it. Terribly wordy, poor and vulgar. I will try to finish as soon as possible so that I can send it to you. Have you seen Kautsky's articles about this "neo-Proudhonist"?

I have now set about writing a popular pamphlet for the peasants about our agrarian program.
I would very much like to explain our idea of the class struggle in the countryside based on specific
data about the four strata of the rural population (landlords, the peasant bourgeoisie,
the middle peasantry, and semi-proletarians together with proletarians). What do you think about
such a plan?

V.I. Lenin is referring to the pamphlet "To the Rural Poor" (see Collected Works, 5th ed., vol. 7,
pp. 129-203). Rey
