28 VII 02. [London.]

Dear
G[eorgi]
V[alentinovich],

I am sending you 100 [roubles] for the journey. I was very glad to learn that you intend to come here for 2–3 months, and not just for a short visit: there will probably be people arriving from Russia during that time.

Your letter to me went to France, from where I left quickly, so it crossed with me and I still have not seen it.

I shake your hand and look forward to seeing you soon.

Yours,
Lenin.

* For greater clarity in the sequence of letters, we designate this letter as No. 114 (of the general series), counting Plekhanov’s letter to Lenin of July 22, published in *Lenin Miscellany* III, p. 437, as No. 113.
