19 August 1902

Dear P. B.! I just received a telegram stating that Columbus is with you. Please convey my warmest greetings to this old friend! I am enclosing a letter for him*. He will likely rest and take stock of his situation for a while in your company—and only then, together with B. N., will he come to us?

G. V. writes that you should perhaps make the trip to Munich. I fully agree with this suggestion: I have not yet had the chance to discuss it with the others, but I am confident they will concur as well. Do write to me promptly if you need funds for the journey. We may, once again, have to raise some money—after all, we have only about 100 rubles in the treasury. But of course we will manage to secure the necessary funds.

I will pass on G. V.’s request to L. G.

How is your health now? Did you get a proper rest over the summer?

Shaking hands with you. Yours, Lenin
