Many thanks for the offer to send material against Chernov. I have just taken him up*, and what relates to France and Belgium (Vandervelde et Destrée. “Le socialisme en Belgique”**, cited by Chernov, as well as Vandervelde’s new work***) would probably be of use to me. But please send it only if you do not need it and if you can let me have it for a few weeks. I would very much need Liebknecht: “Zur Grund- und Bodenfrage”****, which I have not found here either with Parvus or in the library.

If you have it, please send it to me for a short while.

Chernov quotes some Gerolamo Gatti, who is outright at war with the Marxists: “Le nuove correnti dell’economia agricola” (Milano – Palermo, 1900)*****. Do you know what sort of bird this is, is it worth reading? Is there a French translation? (I do not know Italian — perhaps my sister could help).

I shake your hand firmly. Write about my article.

Yours, Petrov
