1900...* If only I could get away at that time, and where to stay until then is unimportant.

E. E.’s health has improved. The Minusinsk people generally spent the summer very well. A. M., it seems, has got a job in Minusinsk.

I embrace you warmly and send greetings to all our folks.

I recently read Stammler’s book here, in German, and was very dissatisfied. In my opinion, it is learned nonsense and most barren scholasticism. I would be interested to know who praised it to you? True, it was praised in *Novoye Slovo* by Struve and Bulgakov, who, like Stammler, take their stand on the ground of neo-Kantianism. But Stammler, in my view, is an excellent argument against neo-Kantianism. To try to fight against Marxism with nothing in one’s luggage but the most stupidly concocted definitions, as Stammler does (who previously wrote only textbooks on Roman law for students...), is too ridiculous an undertaking. In *Neue Zeit* they quite rightly said (Cunow) that the significance of Stammler’s book is negative.

A few days ago I received the April issue of *Nachalo* and read almost all of it. It is very interesting in general, and the article “Out of Turn” in particular.

We still haven’t received the Webbs’ book (the original)!! Probably
