Rue des Minimes, 40. Brussels. Belgium
22/XII. 98.

I received from you, Manasha, Kovalsky, but no letter. It (and generally we)
are surprised by this: except for

M. A. ULYANOVA and A. I. ULYANOVA-ELIZAROVA

that one, first, letter from you, there has not been a single other one. Are the letters getting lost?

Or perhaps, you are so engrossed in your new life that there is no time left for letters?

I have had Kovalsky's book for quite some time now: I received it back in November, having ordered it from a Petersburg store; to be honest, I only just started reading it, but haven't finished: a rather boring compilation. Write when do you plan to go for the summer? which newspapers and journals do you read? have you fully acquainted yourself with Brussels and the book business setup there? Send me "Journal officiel" 120 with interesting speeches in parliament. I am planning to write you a long letter, - after the holidays, which we are going to spend in Minusinsk soon.

Yours, V. U.

Nadya sends her regards.

Received your letter of 20. XII*. I am now in Minusinsk. Will reply upon return.

Yours, V. U.
